Ivy Tech hosting scholars program

An Ivy Tech Community College program for 21st Century Scholars and their parents to learn more about the college, its programs and career pathway opportunities will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Jan. 27 at Columbus Learning Center.

All 21st Century Scholars high school students from Bartholomew, Brown, Jackson and Jennings counties are invited to attend the event at the center, 4555 Central Ave., Columbus.

More than 2,000 students across the four counties are enrolled in the program, which offers income-eligible Hoosier students paid tuition assistance possibly up to four years it they attend an eligible Indiana college or university.

While in high school, 21st Century Scholars are expected to complete a Scholar Success Program that helps them plan, prepare and pay for college completion.
