James Edwin “Jamie” Bratcher, 51, of Seymour, passed away at 6:35 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus.

Born Aug. 7, 1964, in Seymour, he was the son of Thomas Bratcher, who survives in Seymour, and Fran McIntosh Bratcher, who preceded him in death Aug. 31, 2014.

James was a graduate of Jennings County High School. He worked as a mechanic for Lloyd’s Body Shop and as a press operator for Seymour Tubing, both in Seymour. He was a member of Coffee Creek Christian Church in Paris Crossing.

Besides his father, survivors include a son, Ben Bratcher of North Vernon; and a brother, Tony Bratcher of Seymour.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon, with the Rev. Ron McKinney officiating. Burial will be at Coffee Creek Christian Cemetery in Paris Crossing.

Visitation will be from 6:30 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday.
