Hornets fall to Christian Academy

MEDORA

The Medora girls basketball team couldn’t muster more than four points in a quarter as it fell to Christian Academy 55-13 on Monday.

The Hornets fell behind 16-3 after the opening eight minutes and trailed 32-7 at the half.

Lillian Hatfield scored nine of the Hornets’ points and Kailen Flynn had four.

Meodra (2-19) will play at Dugger Union on Friday.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Crothersville drops game at Hauser

HOPE

With special guests in attendance, Hauser’s varsity boys basketball team came away with an 80-41 victory against Crothersville on Saturday.

Ten different players scored to help push the Jets’ overall mark to 10-5, including a 6-0 mark against Class A opponents.

Witnessing that performance were members of the 2006 Class A boys state championship team, which was honored again a decade later for its history-making accomplishment.

The Tigers fell behind 22-16 after the first quarter and were down 44-23 at intermission.

Eli Mollet led Crothersville with 24 points.

Crothersville was outrebounded 34-13.

The Tigers (2-14) play Friday at Jackson County foe Trinity Lutheran.
