Jackson County Visitor Center’s 2016 Promotional Grant Funding applications are now available.

Organizations with nonprofit status can submit an application along with a copy of their 501(c)(3) notification form for funding consideration for events, festivals or attractions slated to take place in 2016 and promote tourism within Jackson County, according to a news release from the center.

Churches with articles of organization also are eligible to apply.

Only one request from any one organization will be granted each year.

Applications submitted prior to the date of the event that meet policy guidelines will be reviewed for approval by the center’s board of directors during its monthly board meetings.

The board meets the first Wednesday of each month at the visitor center, 100 N. Broadway St. in Seymour.
