Thomas J. Hern, 64, of Columbus died Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016.

Born Jan. 26, 1952, in Columbus, he was the son of Carl Morton and Juanita Anderson Hern, both of whom preceded him in death. He married Rhonda Davidson on May 16, 1992, and she survives.

Thomas was employed at Dolly Madison Bakery for 37 years before retiring in 2012.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Heather M. Hern of Seymour; and a grandson, Nicholas C.J. Perez.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Wes Jones officiating. Burial will be at Bear Creek Baptist Cemetery in Jennings County.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday and from 11 a.m. until time of service Monday.
