COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.

Dorothy Mae Nelson, 88, died peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Survivors include daughter, Sharon (Steve) Harter of Colorado Springs, Colorado; son, Paul (Loretta) Nelson of North Vernon; five grandchildren; and her brothers and sisters-in-law.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Boyde Nelson.

A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, 240 Poplar St., North Vernon. Private burial will be in Vernon Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of service.

Memorials may be made to North Vernon First United Methodist or to the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
