To the editor:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Seymour Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1925 and its auxiliary for hosting a reception and dinner for the VFW Auxiliary National President Francisca Guilford on Jan. 15.
Post 1925 Commander John Schafstall and Auxiliary President, Barbara Barger did an excellent job. We were so fortunate to have Tricia Bechman from the Seymour Chamber of Commerce, and we thank her for presenting our Madam President with a proclamation, naming Jan. 15 “Our Veterans — Now and Forever” day in Seymour.
We were also joined by state Commander William “Buzz” Weberding and lots of members from VFW posts and auxiliaries throughout Indiana. Thank you to the Freeman Field Airport Management and the Freeman Air Field World War Il Museum for their hospitality. I’m sure that Seymour is so proud of this historical treasure.
