Lucretia “Lucy” Haley, 88, of Seymour, passed away Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016, at Lutheran Community Home in Seymour.

Born April 21, 1927, in Camby, she was the daughter of Jacob and Ella Mae Curtis Terrell, both of whom preceded her in death. On June 15, 1946, in Seymour, she married John Haley, who preceded her in death.

Lucy was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. She was employed with Panasote for 34 years and Wal-Mart for 15 years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting and knitting.

Survivors include her children, Nancy Cottrill (fiancé, Gary Stone) and John Haley Jr.; grandchildren, Rebecca Andres, Christopher Behrman, Jonathan Horton, Timothy Horton, Ethan Haley and Melissa Gibert; and eight great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her infant son, David Michael Haley; daughter, Brenda J. Williams; brothers, Phillip, Raymond and Charlie Terrell; and sisters, Lula Mae Jerrell, Louise Jerrell and Flossie Terrell.

A graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at Voss Chapel in Seymour.
