Robert J. “Bob” Werskey, 63, of Seymour passed away Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, at Schneck Medical Center.

Born June 27, 1952, in Medina, Ohio, he was the son of Richard E. “Dick” and Betty Jean Mattick Werskey, both of whom preceded him in death.

Bob was a very skilled and talented artist who loved doing anything creative. He graduated from Herron Art School in Indianapolis with a bachelor’s degree, which is associated with Indiana University. Some of his hobbies were photography, painting, drawing and spending time with his niece and nephews. He was a great listener for all of his family and friends. He worked in the family masonry business for many years but still managed to let his artistic side show in his work.

Survivors include his brother, James (Christine) Werskey; sister, Patricia (Mark) Goble; nephews, Alan and Eric Werskey and Brian Goble; a niece, Jennifer Goble (Steve) Fox; and a great-niece, Avery Fox.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Voss Chapel. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service.
