NORTH VERNON

Nellie Mae Minton Proffitt, 83, of North Vernon, and formerly of London, Kentucky, died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, at Covered Bridge Health Campus in Indiana.

Survivors include two children, Robert Terry (Kimberly) Proffitt and Anthony Wayne Proffitt; three sisters, Ida Benge, Judy Peters and Katherine Proffitt; and a grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Elmond Proffitt.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home in London, Kentucky, with the Rev. Denny McCowan officiating. Burial will follow at Bruner Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon until time of service Thursday.
