Pine Ridge Extension Homemakers January Meeting

Pine Ridge Extension Homemakers Club celebrated the group’s 69th anniversary when the group met Jan. 26 at Trinity United Methodist Church. The club was organized in January 1947.

Hostess Adrene Wunder, assisted by Sandi Hall and Carol White, served a soup and snacks luncheon ending with cake.

President Hall presided at the business meeting. Funds were collected to furnish backpacks for Child Protective Services, and Aryss Beebe, Mary Ann Seany and Wunder were named to a committee to purchase the supplies.

Future events are the Bedford District spring meeting March 10 at Scottsburg and Jackson County Achievement Night on May 12 at Camp Pyoca.

Norma Pollert gave the citizenship lesson on “How History Repeats Itself.” Beebe led in singing “How We Get Together.”

The hostess gave devotions on “Be Thankful.”

The next meeting will be at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 23 at Marge Patman’s home.
