Marlene K. Beavers, 81, of Anderson passed away Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital after a brief illness.

Born Oct. 27, 1934, in Medora, she was the daughter of Kenneth and Carrie Freeman Killion, both of whom preceded her in death. On Sept. 12, 1953, she married Donn E. Beavers, who preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 2011.

She graduated from Medora High School and Comptometer School in Indianapolis. She worked in finance for various companies before retiring from Independent Federal Credit Union as a loan officer in 1993. She was a member of the Leesville chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, Vallonia Christian Church and Pendleton First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Cheryl (Kevin) Sheets, Cathy (Michael) Parker, Donna (Jim) Wood and Kim Welborn; grandchildren, Kyle Sheets, Brody Sheets, Jenifer (Justin) Hollon Maines, Amanda (Brad) Anderson, Andrew (fiancée, Billy Jo-Ann Green) Hollon, Emily Parker, Lacey (fiancé, Jordan Michael) Wood and Jeremi (Michele) Welborn; great-grandchildren, Kenzie Sheets, Keegan Sheets, Remington Sheets, Eli Maines, Ethan Turney, Aaliyah Turney and Jeremiah Welborn; sisters, Marilyn Beavers, Dottie (Harold) Snider and Vivian (William) Wade; sister-in-law, Bonnie (Rex) Early; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Ryan Welborn.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Vallonia Christian Church with Pastor Chris Criminger and the Rev. Douglas Walker officiating. Burial will be at Vallonia Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory in Anderson.
