PAGES COME ALIVE

Seymour-Jackson Elementary conducted its annual Story Night on Thursday.

Teachers dressed up like characters in the books they read aloud to students and their families. The event was well attended by students in all grades and coincided with the school’s annual book fair.

To make it extra special, children were allowed to wear their pajamas as they rotated through four different stories. Stations were based on grade levels, so students heard age-appropriate stories at their reading levels.

Afterward, families enjoyed cookies and milk provided by the Jackson PTO.

Story Night is a way to promote literacy and reading as a family, organizers said.
