Two arrested after North Vernon officers serve search warrant

NORTH VERNON

North Vernon police arrested two people after serving a search warrant in the 1500 block of County Road 115S early Thursday.

Officers arrested Jeremy M. Jones, 39, North Vernon, on charges of dealing in marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia, police said. Jones was released from the Jennings County Jail in lieu of $1,055 bond.

Officers also arrested Shi Ann Schildknecht, 27, North Vernon, on charges of dealing in marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia, police said. She was released from the Jennings County Jail in lieu of $2,055 bond.

North Vernon K-9/Sgt. Andrew Richmond and officers Wes Thayer and Miles Courtney were assisted in the search by Jennings County sheriff’s deputies Tom Webster and Shawn Minton.

Officers said they found about a half pound of marijuana, multiple packaging materials, digital scales and other drug paraphernalia when they searched the house. A third person who was at the residence was questioned and released.
