Gene Paul and Mary Beth Bottorff Johnson plan to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a special dinner with their children and grandchildren.

The Johnsons were married Feb. 20, 1966, at Cortland Christian Church.

They have three daughters, Jennifer Johnson of Seymour, Peggy (Jeff) Franklin of Seymour and Jackie (Lonny) Gibson of Vallonia; and two grandchildren, Maddie and Paul Gibson of Vallonia.

Together, they owned and operated Johnson Funeral Home in Vallonia for more than 40 years. They are both now retired. Both are active members of Vallonia Christian Church and in their community.
