ELIZABETHTOWN

Bessie Jewell Bowman, 69, of Elizabethtown, died at 12:47 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016, at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon.

Survivors include his sons, Dean Bowman and Andy (Melody) Bowman, both of Columbus; daughters, Lori (George) Stephans of North Vernon and Lisa Bowman of Elizabethtown; sister, Mae Turner of Columbus; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence “Clancy” Bowman.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Burial will be in New Harmony Cemetery in Bartholomew County.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday.
