Larry Ray Spicer, 60, of Seymour, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016, at his residence.

Born Aug. 4, 1955, in Scott County, he was the son of Edward Spicer, who preceded him in death, and Sophia Jett Spicer, who survives. He was married to Penny Spicer for 19 years.

Survivors include daughters, Rena Fink of Crothersville and Kelli Simmons of Bloomington; sons, Todd Sumpter, Flemingsburg, Kentucky, and Brad Sumpter, Winchester, Ohio; brothers, Lester Spicer of Austin, Glen Spicer of Lexington, and James Spicer and Donnie Spicer, both of Austin; sister, Nancy Gay, Austin; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at noon Friday at Buchanan Funeral Home, Austin, with Brother Nicky Spicer officiating. Burial will be at Scottsburg Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday.
