ASHLAND CITY, Tenn.

Gertrude “Sally” Coryell Shafer, 92, of Ashland City, Tennessee, died at 1:05 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016, at Ashland City Hospital.

Survivors include a daughter, Marian Perry of Ashland City, Tennessee; three sons, Bob Cantu of Detroit, James Coryell of Lincoln Park, Michigan, and Robert Coryell of Reading, Michigan; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by husbands Francis Coryell and Ernie Shafer.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. today at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service in North Vernon. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service today.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
