Lucretia “Lucy” J. Tuggle, 76, of Seymour, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016.

Born Sept. 22, 1939, in Jennings County, she was the daughter of Alvin and Viva Hauersperger Gerth, both of whom preceded her in death. On Feb. 20, 1960, at St. Joseph Catholic Church at Four Corners near Hayden, she married Richard “Dick” Tuggle who preceded her in death on Sept. 5, 2012.

Lucy was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. She was co-owner of Hilltop Furniture Store. She loved crocheting and working puzzles. She was a loving mother who enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Elaine Jo (Roger) Tuggle Nolan, Candace Kay Tuggle Gluck and Christina Marie (Chad) Tuggle Gray; grandchildren, Kirsten Nolan, Jessica Faught, Samantha Jones, Jenna Gray and Conner Howard; and great-grandchildren, Adalyn and Nolan, Andrew, Brody and Brooklyn, and Harmony; brothers, John (Pat) Gerth and Mark (Sherry) Gerth; sisters, Juanita (Mark) McClellan and Marcia (Kim) Stroud; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Voss Chapel and from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday at the church. A rosary service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
