Brownstown Central High School’s Science Olympiad team competed in a regional competition Feb. 6 in Bloomington and finished fourth.

Those receiving gold medals were Makenzie Bennett and Morgan Harrison in Wright Stuff Model Planes; Trenton Rogers and Tyler Lawson in Air Trajectory; Sterling Hayden and Bennett in Cell Biology; and Hannah Gallion and Rogers in Chemistry Lab.

Silver medals went to Mitchell Banks and Hayden in Write It/Do It and Green Generation; and Jenny Runge and Alexis Koch in Dynamic Planet.

Those receiving bronze medals were Cynthia Edwards, Banks and Koch in Experimental Design; Gallion and Sara Martin in Anatomy and Physiology; Hayden and Bennett in Protein Modeling; Gallion and Bennett in Forensics; Hayden and Martin in It’s About Time; and Rogers and Runge in Hydrogeology.

The team is coached by Maria Weigel and Kasey Proehl.
