Lenten worship concert coming to church

The 100 musicians of the symphonic band and Golden Voice Choir of Valley Lutheran High School in Saginaw, Michigan, plan to present a Lenten worship concert at 7 p.m. March 10 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 605 S. Walnut St., Seymour.

The message of this year’s worship concert is focused on the reason behind Christ’s ultimate act of salvation as it is conveyed through readings and musical offerings, according to a news release from the church.

The music program has Christ as its foundation and strives to teach students that their musical gifts are a unique and powerful way to share the message of Christ with others.

This tour is an extension of that teaching and offers the students the opportunity to share their faith in that way.

This is the second concert of a five-day, six-concert tour through Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Michigan.

The public is invited.

The band and choir are under the direction of Paul Eschmann and Lindsay Mueller.
