All Seasons Garden Club

All Seasons Garden Club met at the home of Veronica Bowling for its March 14 meeting with Peggy Broshears as co-hostess.

Members brought salads and desserts for the dinner. Favors of assorted coffees were given to each member. Door prizes were won by Brenda Turner and Kathy Rush.

President Becky Hackman conducted a business meeting. She announced the Bedford Garden Club has invited All Seasons Garden Club to participate in a tea April 16. The tea is a fundraiser sponsored by Lawrence County Cancer Patient Services.

Hackman informed members of a spring open house at Mays Greenhouse in Bloomington, the Indiana Flower and Patio Show at Indianapolis and Artsfest at Brownstown.

Suggestions for outings were a guided tour of the Governor’s Mansion and also Roberta’s Gardens near Shelbyville.

Nita Bridges informed the members of a pollinator plant sale with order forms available at the Jennings County Soil and Water Conservation Office.

Bridges also provided brochures informing members of food and habitat that will help pollinators survive.
