Columbus Symphony Orchestra concert set for Sunday

The Columbus Symphony Orchestra plans to perform “Death and Transfiguration” and other works during a concert at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the Judson Erne Auditorium, 1400 25th St., Columbus.

“Death and Transfiguration” is Richard Strauss’ classic tone poem about a dying man awaiting his heavenly transfiguration. Other works to be performed include Joseph Haydn’s Symphony No. 45 in F-sharp minor, “Farewell;” “Spring Song Op. 16” by Jean Sibelius; and “To a Wild Rose” by Edward McDowell.

The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for senior citizens and children 12 and older. Admission is free for children younger than 12 accompanied by an adult. Tickets may be purchased at the door or online at csoindiana.org/tickets.
