Cougars win Shiner Invitational

RISING SUN — Trinity Lutheran’s golf team combined for 332 strokes to win the Shiner Invitational at The Links at Rising Star on Saturday.

The win marks the first tournament victory for the Cougars on the season.

South Central placed second with 351 and Rising Sun rounded-out the top three with 354.

Chad Stuckwisch led the Cougars with a 79 (+7), Cory Stuckwisch shot 80, Skylar Stahl 87, Drew Royalty 86 and Jacob Keith 92.

Naty Mynati of Franklin Central was medalist carding a 73.

Today, Trinity hosts Christian Academy at Shadowood Golf Course.

Owls take on Floyd Central Invite

FLOYDS KNOBS — The Seymour boys golf team finished with 356 strokes at the Floyd Central Invitational on Saturday to finish 10th of 12 teams.

Bloomington South carded the lowest score on the day with 319.

Owls senior Brady Marshall led the team with 81 (+6) and sophomore Keaton Simpson had an 81.

Tyler Bullard shot an 88, Ben Everage 105 and Jake Silence 110 on the afternoon.

Today, the Owls will host Madison at Shadowood Golf Course.
