Naomi M. Horsman, 89, of Kokomo, passed away Monday, March 21, 2016, at Lutheran Community Home in Seymour.

Born June 24, 1926, in Royal Center, she was the daughter of Dale and Vivian Pufahl Knarr, both of whom preceded her in death. On March 19, 1971, she married Donald C. Horsman, who preceded her in death.

She retired from Stellite in Kokomo after many years of service and led a very active life. She was an avid golfer, excellent seamstress and enjoyed bowling and traveling. Naomi was a past member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Kokomo Country Club.

Survivors include her children, Barbara Lucas, Connie (Paul) Gilmore and Melody (Chris) Ent; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins; her brother, Howard (Patricia) Knarr; and her sister-in-law, Shirley (Dick) Jones.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by Blaine W. Ruth, the father of her children; and a grandson, Richard E. Tate Jr.

A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 W. Alto Road, Kokomo. Entombment will be in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, the American Diabetes Foundation or donor’s choice of charity.
