The workshop will be at the visitor center. There is no fee, but pre-registration is required. Participants will go fishing with instructors during the workshop and be served a free hot dog lunch at the end of the day.
This is a basic fishing workshop geared toward children and adults with little or no experience. Topics covered will be fish identification, rod and reel selection, fishing lines, knots, bait, playing and landing fish and casting.
The refuge will provide all equipment and materials, but participants may bring their own equipment if they desire. No license is required for the event since Saturday is an Indiana free fishing day.
