WHITELAND

Roberta June Hunter, 80, of Whiteland, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born May 22, 1935, in Seymour, she was the daughter of  Amos and Lillie Hohenstreiter Maschino, both of whom preceded her in death. On Dec. 19, 1954, in Seymour, she married Robert Lee Hunter, who preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 1984.

Roberta was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She retired from Blue Cross/Blue Shield and worked at Meijer Inc. for eight years. She was a member of American Legion Post 252 Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6878 Auxiliary and Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge 655 Auxiliary.

Survivors include her children, Cathy (Rommie) Loudd, Carol (Rick) White, Janet Riddle and Robert Paul Hunter; three grandchildren, Jeremy White, Rusti Bailey and Kyra Riddle; five great-grandchildren; brother, Ross A. Maschino; sister, Bonnie Whitson; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Raymond A., Avis, Joey and Orville Maschino; and a sister, Wanda Goble.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Voss Chapel. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and from noon until time of service Monday.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice of charity.
