Alice Rose Goforth, 78, of Norman passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016, at her residence.

Born April 12, 1938, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Ernest and Juanita Gullet Hildreth, both of whom preceded her in death. On March 14, 1958, she married William C. Goforth, who preceded her in death May 7, 2015.

Alice was a member of Kurtz Church of the Nazarene and a retired cook from Jackson Elementary School in Seymour.

Survivors include two sons, William “Bill” (Brenda) Goforth of Norman and Michael (Lisa) Goforth of Seymour; a daughter, Kathy (Harold) Parker of Norman; two brothers, Steve (Susie) Hildreth of Reddington and Doug (Myra) Hildreth of Pekin; three sisters, Janet Shurman of Seymour, Pauletta (Paul) Sturdevant of Hayden and Sherry White of Hayden; nine grandchildren, Angela (Greg) Snelling, Rob Harris, Ben Kerkhof, Brittany Robbins, Breanna Goforth, Amanda Banks, Jenny Pearson, Daryl Brewer and Gabe Bennet; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Smith.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kurtz Church of the Nazarene with Floyd Fisher officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Spurgeon Funeral Home Inc. in Brownstown and from 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the church.

Burial will be at Kurtz Cemetery.
