LaDonna Kay Stark DeZarn, 60, of Seymour passed away peacefully at 10:44 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2016, at home surrounded by her family.

Born Nov. 16, 1955, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Donald E. “Buck” and Eleanor E. Brink Stark, both of whom preceded her in death. On March 9, 1974, in Seymour, she married Woodrow “Woody” DeZarn Jr. who survives.

A 1974 graduate of Seymour High School, she worked 13 years at Excello Shirt Factory. When it closed, she went to work at Wal-Mart in Seymour, where she worked in the fabrics department as manager until her retirement after 27 years of service.

LaDonna was a 50-year member of First Baptist Church of Seymour, where she was in the Seeker’s Class, voice of praise and Golden Owls. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family. She also enjoyed her Kindle and scenic drives to French Lick.

Besides her husband, survivors include her son, Scott W. (Shannon) DeZarn; grandchildren, Scott W. DeZarn Jr. and Ashley K. DeZarn; sister, Penny (Joe) Kleber; two brothers, Jerry (Cheryl) Stark; and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Voss Chapel in Seymour. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday.

Memorials may be made to the grandchildren’s education fund.
