A Seymour lawyer recently earned a couple of honors.

Roger Pardieck, who practices at The Pardieck Law Firm, has been selected for inclusion in the 22nd edition of The Best Lawyers in America, the oldest and one of the most respected peer-review publications in the legal profession. The first issue appeared in 1983, and Pardieck has been included since the inception of the publication.

Pardieck also was named a 2016 Indiana Super Lawyer. That is a rating service of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Each year, no more than 5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected to receive this honor.

Best Lawyers lists and Super Lawyer ratings are compiled by conducting peer-review surveys in which thousands of lawyers confidentially evaluate their professional peers. If the votes for an attorney are positive enough for inclusion, that attorney must maintain those votes in subsequent polls to remain on the list for each edition.

The Pardieck Law Firm offices are located in downtown Seymour in the Pony Express building, which once housed Seymour’s first post office.
