SCOTTSBURG

Carolyn J. Carey, 70, of Scottsburg died Friday, April 22, 2016, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

Survivors include her husband, Gene Carey; a son, James (Emma) Carey of Scottsburg; two daughters, Rhonda Carey-Johnson and Deanna Carey-Slack, both of Scottsburg; four sisters, Elizabeth Sue (Clay) Brooks of Scottsburg, Brenda Colbert and Deborah (Mike) Cherry, all of Searcy, Arkansas and Mary (Freddie) Cox of Ward, Arkansas; two brothers, Don (Linda) Colbert of Monroe, Louisiana and David (Connie) Colbert of Austin, Arkansas; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Carolyn was preceded in death by three brothers, Mike, Roy and Ernie Colbert.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, with burial in Cravens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Tuesday.
