Abigail Criswell of Brownstown has been inducted into the Alpha Lambda Delta, the freshman honor society at the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky.

Membership is open to full-time freshmen who earn a scholastic average of 3.5 or better at a four-year college or university.

The honor society recognizes and encourages academic excellence among first-year students, according to a news release from the university.
