The Loyal Devoir Society of Central Christian Church met May 27 at the Seymour church. Fifteen members were in attendance.

President Lucy Dembek called the meeting to order, and Loretta Riehl gave devotions using Matthew 6:25 as her text.

Minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved with one correction.

The treasurer’s report also was approved.

Dembek delivered the extra cookies from the bake sale to the Community Diner of Seymour.

Bonnie Koontz, saleswoman, reported the dish clothes were low and asked if the group wanted to order more. A motion was made and passed to do so.

Group I under the leadership of Barb Bentley provided the birthday cake, ice cream and decorations of balloons, hats and favors for the society’s birthday party.

Riehl, the society’s board representative, reported the main item discussed by the board was security for the day care and staff.

The kitchen closet discussion was postponed until June because the board hasn’t acted on it.

Marvin Rumph led the group in square dancing.

The meeting closed with the Mizpah Benediction.
