What is your workout schedule?

“I work out five to six days a week 30 to 45 minutes each day, plus running three to four days a week.”

What is your favorite workout to do and why?

“I just recently completed The Master’s Hammer and Chisel program and loved it. It really changed my mindset to not worrying so much about the scale and instead focusing on getting stronger.”

Where do you work out, and what do you like about that place?

“I work out at home. I love that I can do it any time and don’t have to travel to or from the gym. I run and take part in online accountability groups, as well, and that really helps keep me on track. I also run outdoors.”

What do you eat or avoid eating to be healthy?

“I don’t avoid any foods but try to follow portion control and eat clean. I believe in the 80/20 rule. If you deprive yourself, it usually backfires.”

What are your fitness goals?

“I want to continue exercising regularly, be the healthiest mom and wife that I can be and show my kids anything is possible if you set your mind to it. I also certainly wouldn’t complain about losing 10 more pounds.”

What are some fitness goals that you are proud to have achieved?

“I have lost 20 pounds and kept it off and recently ran my first half-marathon. I feel great, have increased energy and feel much more comfortable in my own skin.”

Are you currently training for any type of event, such as a marathon, triathlon, etc.? If so, what does your training or routine involve?

“I have been training for my first half-marathon. I run three to four days a week working up to my goal.”

How does exercising make you feel?

“Empowered, strong and more confident.”

What is your advice to encourage others to exercise?

“Everyone is busy, but you have to stop making excuses and decide to take care of yourself. Schedule your workouts just like you would an appointment, and if you can find an accountability partner or group to join, it really helps.

Also, find a workout you enjoy. If you like it, you will be much more likely to keep it up.”
