The Jackson County Public Library is offering free literacy education programs, starting Monday and running through July 26, in the Seymour Library Kidz Korner Program Room.

The library’s sessions incorporate age-appropriate early literacy activities, including listening, playing, singing, dancing and exploring. Registration is required.

On Mondays in June and July, the library will offer Mother Goose and Me, open to ages 3 to 24 months, at 5:30 p.m.; Shake Your Sillies Out Toddler Time, open to ages 25 to 36 months, at 6 p.m.; and Preschool Explorers, open to ages 3 to 5, at 6:30 p.m.

On Tuesdays in June, the library will offer Babes and Tykes, open to ages 3 to 24 months, at 9:30 a.m.; Toddler Tales and Tunes, open to ages 25 to 36 months, at 10 a.m.; and Preschool Power, open to ages 3 to 5, at 10:30 a.m.

An adult must accompany children ages 35 months and under to the storytimes. Parents and caregivers of children ages 3 to 5 years old may attend the storytime with their child or wait in the Kidz Korner until the session ends.

For information or to register, call the Seymour Library Kidz Korner at 812-522-3412, option 2, or visit the library’s program calendar at myjclibrary.org/events.
