Southern Indiana Hispanic Services will be hosting a FootGolf Scramble on Friday at Seymour Country Club, starting at 6 p.m.

FootGolf involves kicking a soccer ball on a nine-hole golf course. All ages are welcome to try out the new sport. Cleats are not allowed.

The entry fee is $6 for those younger than 16 and $10 for those 16 and older if registered by Monday. After Monday and at-the-door entry fees will increase to $12.

The cost includes food and drink. Items donated by local businesses will be raffled. Those who bring their own soccer ball will be given five free raffle tickets.

People are invited to form a team of four to six players. Those short of a full team will be matched with others.

The golf course is at 1400 Shields Ave., Seymour.

All proceeds support Southern Indiana Hispanic Services, a nonprofit community agency providing services of Spanish/English interpretation, translation and referrals to existing resources.

For information and to register, contact Kim Barnett at 812-524-8618 or 812-521-7772. Information and forms also also available on the Facebook page of Southern Indiana Hispanic Services.

The office address is 113 N. Chestnut St., Suite 203, P.O. Box 49, Seymour, IN 47274. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 1 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays.
