Library programs get teens involved

The Jackson County Public Library is offering free classes for teens during June and July in the Teen Scene at the Seymour Library.

Registration is required for some programs, and space is limited. To sign up, visit myjclibrary.evanced.info.

The programs are:

Middle Matters (Grades 6 through 8): Get in the Game of Beginning Sewing: Basics, Tuesday; Get in the Game of Beginning Sewing: Projects, June 21; Get in the Game of Record Breaking: Try to Break a Guinness World Record, July 12

Just for Teens (Grades 9 through 12): Dorm Room Cuisine: Breakfast, June 20; Sports Charades, June 27; Dorm Room Cuisine: Lunch or Dinner, July 11

Combined programs (Grades 6 through 12): Book-to-Movie Matinee, “Friday Night Lights” at 2 p.m. June 29 and “The Blind Side” at 2 p.m. July 27; TAG, 4 p.m. June 8, July 6 and Aug. 3; Chocolate Olympics, 4 p.m. June 14
