10 4-H’ers earn money for college

Ten Jackson County 4-H members recently received Indiana 4-H Foundation Scholarships.

The awards were based on community service, leadership and project work through the 4-H program.

The local recipients are:

•Olivia Benter, a Trinity Lutheran High School graduate and a 10-year 4-H member, 4-H Club Committee Indiana 4-H Foundation Senior Scholarship.

•Jacob Schult, a Trinity Lutheran High School graduate and a 10-year 4-H member, 4-H Club Committee Indiana 4-H Foundation Senior Scholarship.

•Miranda Murphy, a Trinity Lutheran High School graduate and a 10-year 4-H member, C.B. Hess Memorial Indiana 4-H Foundation Senior Scholarship.

•Tanner Prewitt, a Trinity Lutheran High School graduate and an eight-year 4-H member, C.B. Hess Memorial Indiana 4-H Foundation Senior Scholarship.

•Mollie Borcherding, a Seymour High School graduate and a 10-year 4-H member, 4-H Auction Indiana 4-H Foundation Senior Scholarship.

•Emma Wood, a Seymour High School graduate and a nine-year 4-H member, 4-H Junior Leaders Indiana 4-H Foundation Senior Scholarship.

•Derrick Maxie, a Crothersville High School graduate and a 10-year 4-H member, 4-H Junior Leaders Indiana 4-H Foundation Senior Scholarship.

•Ryan Benter, a Brownstown Central High School graduate and a 10-year 4-H member, 4-H Auction Indiana 4-H Foundation Senior Scholarship.

•Kayla Holle, a Brownstown Central High School graduate and a 10-year 4-H member, C.B. Hess Memorial Indiana 4-H Foundation Senior Scholarship.

•Grant Reedy, a Brownstown Central High School graduate and a 10-year 4-H member, C.B. Hess Memorial Indiana 4-H Foundation Senior Scholarship.

Scholarships are for graduating high school youth involved in 4-H who are planning to further their education. Each year, the Indiana 4-H Foundation awards more than $120,000 in scholarships to 4-H youth.
