MAGGIE VALLEY, N.C.

Roger D. Greer, 75, of Maggie Valley, North Carolina, died at 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce; daughter, Cindy Brooks of Hayden; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; stepdaughter, Debbie Parkhurst; special stepson, J.R. “Opie” Bohannon; four stepgrandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and sister, Leeta Alline Gibson of North Vernon.

He was preceded in death by his first wife.

A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Bethel Baptist Church. Inurnment will follow at 12:15 p.m. at Vernon Cemetery next to his late wife, Pauline.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice of charity.
