Band department asking for used band instruments

The Seymour Community Schools band department is looking for used band instruments to be donated for the 2016-17 school year.

These donated instruments could help students/families participate in the beginning band program, according to a news release from band director Kevin Cottrill.

Instruments needed include flute, clarinet, oboe, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, baritone, tuba and percussion equipment. Instruments that might need repairs are acceptable to donate. Donated instruments could be tax-deductible.

If you have an instrument that you would like to donate to the Seymour band department, you may leave it at the Seymour High School main office any time from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays until Aug. 1.
