Voting for ‘lesser of two evils’ best plan

To the editor:

“Lesser Of 2 Evils Not Only Voting Strategy,” by Dr. Jeffery A. Singer, published in The Tribune May 26, 2016, on page A4.

Dr. Singer would rather cast his vote for a Libertarian presidential candidate in the coming presidential election than for the lesser of the other two evils.

His reasoning, and I quote, “By casting my vote for the Libertarian presidential candidate, my vote is actually more meaningful and makes more of a statement. Voting for the lesser of two evils is statistically and strategically wasting my vote.”

Does it not matter to him that the lesser of two evils might then be defeated, and he will end up with the worse of two evils in the White House?
