Police use 2 doses of Narcan on man

Police used two doses of Narcan to revive a man reported as unresponsive and barely breathing Thursday afternoon at an east side hotel.

The first dose was administered by Sgt. Brandon White and led to the man beginning to breath. He then became responsive after the second dose was administered by Officer Jeremy Soliday. The man was treated by Jackson County Emergency Medical personnel and taken to Schneck Medical Center for additional evaluation.

The incident was reported at 5:45 p.m. Thursday at a hotel in the 200 block of South Commerce Drive.

Cpl. Adam Surface and Officer Derrick Shelley also responded to the scene.

This incident still is under investigation.
