Seymour police continue to investigate an armed robbery reported early Monday morning outside a Freeman Field warehouse.

A delivery driver from Buffalo, Kentucky, told police he was confronted by a man who asked for his wallet, Detective Sgt. Troy Munson said of the incident reported at 12:50 a.m. in the 700 block of B Avenue East.

Munson said the driver described the man as a black male with an unkempt beard, 5-foot-10 and weighing 200 to 225 pounds. He told police the man was possibly in his 40s and was wearing dark clothing and a ball cap.

Munson said the man asked the delivery driver for his wallet and showed a knife, and the driver threw his wallet to the man, who then left the area.

“There was hardly any money in the wallet, just a few bucks,” Munson said. “It happened quickly, and nobody else saw it.”

Munson said investigators continue to search for potential witnesses and video of the incident.

The incident initially was investigated by Cpl. Devin Cornwell.
