Wanda Spurlock Morris, 74, of Seymour, passed away Friday, June 17, 2016, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

Born Nov. 29, 1941, at Frontier Nursing Center in Hyden, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Jim and Sarah Barger Spurlock, both of whom preceded her in death. On May 28, 1960, in Saul, Kentucky, she married Herman Morris, who passed away June 20, 2015.

Moving to Seymour from Buckhorn, Kentucky, in her early 20s, Wanda worked at Schneck Medical Center and Lutheran Community Home. She was a member of Trinity Pentecostal Chapel in Seymour. She enjoyed church activities and calling on those in the nursing homes and hospitals. She also enjoyed southern gospel music.

Survivors include her children, Mary Morris of Minnesota, James (Wanda) Morris of Norfolk, Virginia, and Sandra Rachel Bryant of Seymour; sister, Edna Spurlock Bowling of Manchester, Kentucky; brothers-in-law, Charles (Thelma) Morris of Boonville, Kentucky, Ervin (Linda) Morris Jr. of Freetown and James (Connie) Morris of Boonville, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Velma (Fred) Hafley of Zoe, Kentucky; grandchildren, David Morris, Rebekah Jones, Jonathan Morris, Benjamin Ball, Joshua Butcher, Amanda Butcher, Casey Stover, Christopher Stover, Cameron Stover and Keegan Stover; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Martha McIntosh and Mary Holbrook; five brothers, Lester, Ford, Arnold, Burt and Marshall Spurlock; and a brother-in-law, Robert Morris.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre in Seymour with Brother Larry Dalton and Brother Ryan Bradley officiating.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Tuesday.

Burial will be at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Austin.
