Paris Crossing alumni to gather

The 45th annual Paris Crossing Alumni banquet will be Friday at The Pines Evergreen Room located on U.S. 31, a mile south of U.S. 50.

The event will begin with a social hour at 5 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m., and the program will begin at 7:30 p.m. The cost is $25 for alumni, which includes dues, social hour and dinner. The cost for guests is $20.

Anyone who attended any of the three Jennings County schools from Paris Crossing, Lovett and Marion are urged to attend.

Those in attendance from the 70-year class of 1946 and the 60-year class of 1956 will be honored. Recognition will be made to individual classes, those traveling the greatest distance and the oldest alumnus present.

A memorial service will be conducted in honor of those who died in the past year.

Three Paris Crossing Alumni Scholarship recipients for 2016 will be recognized.

Attendees are asked to bring collectibles, crafts, antiques and food items for the auction. Proceeds will go to the scholarship fund.

Attendees may contribute to the scholarship fund at the banquet or by mail at Paris Crossing Alumni, in care of Mary Lou Malcomb Nugent, 5150 N. Kings Way, North Vernon.
