FREETOWN

Anna Jewell Bowman Singer, 76, of Freetown, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at her residence.

Born April 3, 1940, at her family home, she was the daughter of Elmer and Mary Inis Taylor Bowman. On Sept. 4, 1958, in Freetown, she married Ivan “Pete” Singer.

A lifelong resident of Freetown, Anna was a member of Freetown Methodist Church. She worked as a certified nursing assistant and pharmacy tech at Schneck Medical Center. She enjoyed spending time with the family, especially her grandkids.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Ivan Singer; children, Reah (Rodonna Hall) Singer of Vallonia, Sonia (Bill) Weddle of Freetown and Trever (Beth) Singer of Norman; grandchildren, Kristen Singer Warrington, Jason (Amber) Weddle, Nathan (Laura) Weddle, Tara (Cory Hafner) Weddle, Brandon (Samantha Sanders) Singer, Ethan (Heather) Singer, Luke (Mackenzie Hackney) Singer and Clinton Singer; great-grandchildren, Izzy, A.J., Logan, Gavin, Liah, Laini, Gracie, Ty, Wade and Robert; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Irvin, Ed, Harlan, Ralph Jr. and Lucille Bowman Bean; and a great-grandson, Landon Ivan Singer.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre. Burial will follow at Vallonia Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service Saturday.
