Kentucky Wesleyan College recently recognized several students, including a Jackson County resident, for their student and leadership achievements for the 2015-16 academic year.

Emmalee Speer of Seymour received the Davenport Zoology Award and a listing in the “Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities.”

Speer also received her Bachelor of Science in zoology during the 148th commencement April 30 at the United Methodist-affiliated school in Owensboro, Kentucky.
