Mary H. Rice, 75, of Seymour passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016, at Lutheran Community Home in Seymour.
Born Aug. 10, 1940, in Paris Crossing, she was the daughter of Logan and Bessie Ross Robinson, both of whom preceded her in death.
Mary was a member of Mount Eden Christian Church and a retired truck driver. She loved to go fast as she loved racing cars and competing with her drag truck. She was married to a great companion, Jerry Rice.
Survivors include her children, Betty Sue (Randy) O’Neill, Philip Earl Walker, Thomas Christopher (Stephanie) Walker and Dana Lee Ann Walker (Michael) Wyatt; grandchildren, Amber and Jeremy Baughman, Jack O’Neill, Shawna Ballou, Maria Sutherland, Lacey and Adam Walker, Cody and Dylan Wyatt, and Justin Danz; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two great-great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lenvel “Butch” Robinson and Rodger (Etta) Robinson; and a sister, Patricia Robinson; and three stepsons, Anthony, Kevin and Sean Rice.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Norton, and the father of her children, Lester Earl Walker.
The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Voss Chapel with the Rev. Chris Criminger officiating. Burial will be at Vallonia Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday.
