The Seymour Parks and Recreation Department in conjunction with Kremers Urban Pharmaceuticals and Radio 96.3 WJAA will offer several activities to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday.

Admission will be half-price for the afternoon session at Shields Park Pool from noon to 5 p.m. Monday. The pool, however, will not reopen for the evening session that day.

There will be a Music in the Park event at Shields Park from noon to 3 p.m. featuring Molly Hayes, Jess Kelley and The Long Family Singers. Those attending may bring lawn chairs, coolers and blankets and enjoy an afternoon of free entertainment compliments of the Seymour Parks and Recreation Department and This Old Guitar Music Store. The concession stand at Shields Park also will be open.

The Kremers Urban Pharmaceuticals fireworks display at Freeman Field is set to begin at 10 p.m. and will be synchronized to music compliments of Radio 96.3 WJAA. The WJAA Cool Bus also will be on location throughout the evening.
