INDIANAPOLIS

Minnie Mae Dowd, 88, of Indianapolis, formerly of North Vernon, died at 7:45 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2016, at her home.

Survivors include daughters, Pat (Jason) Down Pitts of Phoenix and Betsy (Bob) Westfall of Indianapolis; stepdaughter, Mary Jane Dowd of New York, New York; a brother, Thomas (Beth) Gosman of Vernon; two grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Dowd Sr.; and her stepson, Thomas Dowd Jr.

The funeral service will be at noon Wednesday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, North Vernon. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service Wednesday.
